Continuing Education

The doctors at Carolina Vein Associates recently spent several days learning advanced micro-phlebectomy techniques from Dr John Gallagher at Island Vein Specialists in New York (http://islandveinspecialists.com/dr-gallagher.html).

Dr Gallagher has modified the ASVAL method (Selective Ablation of the Varicose Veins under Local Anesthesia), developed by Drs Pittaluga and Chastanet at the Riviera Vein Institute in Nice, France. After learning the technique at the Riviera Vein Institute, Dr Gallagher modified the technique to make it easier for the performing physician, as well as the patient. The end result is remarkable, and it is truly a technique that minimizes scarring and is appreciated by patients.

The doctors at Carolina Vein Associates continue their education to provide the best and most beneficial vein treatments. To learn more about vein treatment options, contact our office at 704-684-4511.
